FOR THE LOVE OF THE GAME.

MetaHug:

Verb

meta \ ˈhəg \ An unconditional, uncircumstantial kindness transferred to a STRANGER

Mission:

Through the world of gaming we will lead others to do small acts of kindness.

This project aims to promote kindness, community, and fundraising for programs that empower young people, all within the Roblox world. We believe that everyone needs a friend and a bit of kindness, both online and offline.

We created a program where we give away FREE mini avatar pals, symbolizing acts of kindness. Through this experience, we learn about generosity and community engagement. Roblox's large user base makes it the perfect platform to teach our fellow online friends about giving back in both virtual and real worlds.

By participating in "Build A Pal," we become part of a community of changemakers in Roblox, where we learn empathy and compassion by doing kind deeds in the virtual world. This initiative not only spreads kindness but also raises funds for programs supporting young people, making us feel like we can truly make a difference. So, let's join in, have fun, and make the world a better place, both in Roblox and beyond!

Build A Pal Project

Project Aurelia

In September 2022 a family friend of MetaHug, Aurelia who is two years old was diagnosed with "Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (T-Cell)", an aggressive type of cancer that affects white blood cells. She has been undergoing treatment at Great Ormond Street Hospital for the past nine months.

Unfortunately, however, she has suffered an early and extreme relapse of the cancer across her body, blood and central nervous system. Doctors have given her the lowest percentile predicted survival rate.

The foundation of Metahug lies in the belief that an act of kindness to a stranger can transform lives. When someone is ill, writing get well soon messages or a personal note with inspirational greetings can make all the difference.

Thank you, to all our members who participate in this act of kindness to little Aurelia by giving "get well notes". Below is a compilation video from the collection of notes we collected over 25 different countries to send to Aurelia and her family.
